Intelligence Reporting will not connect to Pastel Data

SOLVED

The client has migrated from XpressV14 to Partner V19 with pervasive client server.

The upgrade ran smoothly and the company converted without any problems.

The server does not have excel, when I try and run the BI, it starts the process but when it tries to make the connect with the Admin password I get the following error:

Error Upgrading SI Metabase

Bad file name or number

The same occurs on any of the workstations.

    Good day Janine Hearne

Please ensure that you are running the latest version of Sage Intelligence. You can check this by going to Control Panel under Programs and Features. This will show as below:

If you are using Version that is lower than 1.1.1, you need to uninstall this version first and then install Sage Intelligence Version 1.1.1. You can download Sage Intelligence Version 1.1.1 from the link below.

    http://pastelupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/#crosssell

Before reinstalling Sage Intelligence, please ensure that you rename the folder Sage Intelligence located under C:\Pastel19\Custom to SageIntelligenceOLD. If the folder does not exist, you can

    skip this step.

You also need to rename the BIComponents located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files to BIComponentsOLD. Please note that the path will be C:\Program Files\Common Files on Windows 32-Bit operating systems.

Please ensure that the Sage Pastel Accounting installation folder (i.e. Xpress19 or Pastel19) is fully shared on the server if using Sage Pastel Accounting in a multi-user environment.

You may also Turn off User Account Control as per steps on document Turning off User Account Control.

You can uninstall and reinstall Pervasive as per steps on the documents Universal Pervasive Uninstallation and Installing Pervasive Workgroup for Windows Version 10
