EMP501 Mid year

SOLVED

Can someone please help?

How do I get the Mid Year tax certificates from Payroll into a csv format to upload to SARS E-filing.

I do NOT use e@syfile at all and have no plans to use it any time soon - that's even more hassles.

Unfortunately currently we can only test and ensure that the import file created from the payroll can be imported into e@syfile. As our file is based on the current BRS Spec file, the file should also be able to import into Efilling, however as we don't have access to the import facility in E@sfyfile,  we cannot assist if there are any errors received with the import into efiling. If you experience any issues with the file import you will need to contact SARS directly to further assist. We can however test the file on our side on E@syfile, if the file is imported into e@syfile we can assist to ensure that the file is in the correct format as per SARS requirement and that the file can be imported and passed.

Thank you - I did manage to get right with Easyfile.

Now another question - how does the tax on a zimbabwean citizen work if they dont have a SA income tax number?

The employee will still be taxed as a normal employee if the tax status is selected as statutory tables on the employee details.

Hi there, and do we register them for UIF ( I also have a Zimbabwean just joined us) but she doesn't earn enough to be taxed on at this stage.
