Casual Workers without Tax Number

SOLVED

Hi there,

Quick question with regards to Payroll.

I have 2 casual workers who now work for me every day, I want to add them to the payroll now.

1 - They don't have tax numbers, can I still add them to the payroll and then how do I handle the situation of no tax numbers?

2 - Can I add them to the payroll to be paid weekly (all other staff are paid monthly)? Does Payroll (One) support both cycles?

Many thanks,

Brian

    Good day,
    Thank you for your inquiry.

    1.  You will still be able to add them without any tax numbers, the system will allow you to continue without them.
    2. Yes we do have the option to add  more than one cycle, so you can just create a weekly cycle for these employees.
Click on Company >> Add New Cycle.

    Hi Luanne,

Thank you so much! May I just ask for confirmation on a couple of point please? Sorry for the newby questions!

Do I set up accounting integration to Sage One also on this new cycle? And then also do the integration weekly for this cycle as I roll over to the new weekly cycle?

What happens to my UIF submissions? Do I still do this on a monthly basis from my monthly cycle and then the weekly cycle will be included? I.E Is the UIF submissions based on the Company and not the cycle, so all will be correct after the monthly submission?

Similar question for PAYE 201 submission? Will all be correct when I run monthly 201 and the weekly cycle automatically included in the run (company based as opposed to cycle based?)

    Regards,

    Hi Brian,

    No problem at all.

    - Yes, you will need to do the Integration setup in the weekly cycle as well, and then you will integrate weekly.

    - With regards to the  IOF Declaration, you will have the option : Cycle(s) to be included, you can then select there if you want to Include all of your cycles or not.

    - When you print your EMP201, you can select to print the EMP201 consolidated report, that will then Include all of your cycles, you will just need to make sure that your weekly cycle is in the last period of the month eg. period 4 of 4.
