What you're asking is not something I can describe in full in this forum.

But I can give you the basics although I acknowledge I'm not a qualified Auditor myself

1) Determine the Audit close of date e.g. 31 October 2022

2) Run the AR and AP Age Analysis report for all customers and supplier until 31 Oct 2022 and note the closing balance for all accounts 

3) Now compare the AR and AP Control accounts vs the 2 Age Analysis report to ensure the sub-ledger balance equals the ledger

4) For Inventory: Compare the inventory Valuation Report By Date option selected, with the Inventory Control account/s (if more than one GL account)

5) For VAT/Tax: Compare the Tax/VAT Control account vs the Tax/Vat report for the same period, e.g. 31 Oct 2022

Will the above at least help you to start the auditing?

Sorry, but what you're asking is actually requesting a basic understanding of how Evolution works and this platform is not intended for training on how to use Evolution.

Will it perhaps be possible to simply as your own Evolution user client to draw the reports for you?

Case Ware is a good auditing tool you can consider. It's not a Sage product but there is a Case Ware Ware export utility built into the Evolution company.
