Manufacturing: unable to replace with a bom item

Good day,

I'm going to manufacturing product A, but I don't have enough stock for ITEM 1, then I need to use ITEM 2 to replace it. But item 2 is a bom item. The system shows the replacement item may not be a bom item.

What should I do now.
