Sage 200 V10 Offline Branch Accounting Initial Sync Error

SOLVED

Hi All,

I've setup the HO and Branch Sync Monitors (Version 10.0.0.062 > 32 bit) and started the initial sync from the HO Sync Monitor. While exporting for the branches I get the following error:

upload exception: Cannot open file "C:\Sage 200 Branch Accounting\PMB_HO_Update_Folder\0001-0000-B0MBSQ.xml". The system cannot find the file specified

My next step was to verify my FileZilla Server settings as well as make sure the Branch Accounting Folders had all permissions. After doing this, I tried a custom export from HO for branch 1 and got the following error: (Note that I have deleted all DAT and PART files from the branch Accounting folders before attempting the custom export)

I've monitored the Branch Accounting Folder when running the custom export but it doesn't seem to be even creating the .xml file and I'm not sure what to do from here any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Kavir

Please log this query in the usual way with Sage Evolution Support so that a Branch Accounting specialist can attend to it and perhaps arrange a remote session to investigate it for you.

Sorry, I really don't have quick fix for you at this stage.

    Kind Regards

    Bennie

Just an Update for those that come here because they're experiencing the same problem.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Thomas Chauke from support. With his expert knowledge on the product we were able to troubleshoot, identify and fix the following on call and via AnyDesk:

    1)  in the "Folder Options" for the branch accounting folder that you create, the "Hide extensions for known file types" option needs to be unchecked as shown here

    2) When I setup the FTP using FileZilla Server, I set the "Home Directory" for my FTP user to the Same location as my Head Offices sync monitor local root folder. This is incorrect.

The correct way of setting this up is that the "Home Directory" should be a different folder, in my case, I created a "Sage Branch Accounting" folder on the C: drive and set this folder as the FTP "Home Directory".

Within this folder, I created a folder call "HO_Update" and pointed my HO sync monitors local root folder to this folder and just like that, problem solved.
