Greetings,
Is there a way to reverse transaction using audit trail number example 1.0001 that was passed using a Journal batch?
Thanks & Regards
Hi Ally
Sorry, can you please explain a bit more? Please elaborate on a typical kind of transactions that was processed (where/how) and then what about it you want to reverse it.
Kind Regards
Bennie
Hello Bennie,
You know, every transaction performed that is posted to General ledger is having audit trail number. The same when you view General ledger Audit trail number you get the credit side and debit side which in total tallies both side.
So in the same manner, is there a possibility to reverse the transaction based on the audit trail number that will do the opposite of what has been posted before?
Regards
Ally
Thanks for clarifying, Ally
Please note the only transaction reversal principles possible in Evolution
1) Example: Inventory/Sales Order Invoice
User needs to process a Credit Note - you simply need to reverse BOTH the Ledger and the Sub Ledger
So no specific Audit Trial number selection to be revered is possible here
2) Example 2: GL Journal Batch
In this case the following can be done:
On the GL | Transactions | Journal bathes grid, you can simply post the opposite transactions
But still, the selection of a specific Audit Trial Number is not possible to be reversed, and in fact no where in Evolution also.
