    Good Afternoon

    Please confirm the following:

    1) The exact version of MS Office 365 by going to File | Office Account

    2) Also, please confirm if this is the locally installed version of Office 365 or running as a SMTP (hosted Office) application?

    Kind Regards

    Bennie

Good Morning to whom it may concern Slight smile

    Thanks for the feedback

Yes, I believe there should be no problem with running your MS Outlook SMTP implementation with Evolution Standard, as long as its at least ver 7.20.8 or higher.

    Just also do the following:

    1) Login as agents Admin

    2) Go to Administration | System Configuration | System Wizard

    3) On the E-mail tab (at the bottom), select the SMTP option at the top (as opposed to MAPI and Outlook)

    4) Complete the rest of the fields, preferably with the assistance of your local IT consultant

    5) Click the Test Mail button and check if you have positive results or not

    6) Click the Test Connection button and check if you have positive results or not

    7) When done click the Finish button at the bottom of the screen

    Kind Regards

    Hi Bennie

I was able to find out that the SMTP setup is not the problem on Evo. we installed Office 365 on another workstation which never had a previous office installed. and when we select the Microsoft Office there by the email setup wizard, it works perfectly. without having to setup SMTP info.

my workstation however had office 2013 installed before. am also not able to import or export any excel documents. which made me realize it is not only with Outlook, but Office.

    get the following error:

"Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application Class' to interface type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Application'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with ID '{000208D5-0000-0000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040155)"

its quite a mouth full. really not sure why.. and whats wrong. my IT guy says he thinks its an Evo issue?

    Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Please insert a screenshot of your company's | Administration | System Configuration | System Wizard | E-mail tab so I can have a closer look at your setup.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Bennie,
apologies for only confirming now. but i was able to sort it out.,
it was an issue with previous office version installation files that it was trying to read.
couldnt remove them, so just had to format my pc, and install everything all over

    but thanks!
