Account has leading zeros, causing errors in FRD

Question

Our customer's accounts have leading zeros in some case, e.g. 0010; 0020; 0050; etc 
 This causes problems within the financial report designer as the account number is not recognised. 
 Please can you advise a solution. Thanks Nikki
