Update mode not available - Pervasive Client/Server V13

Update mode not available. Another user is busy updating batches when manufacturing or updating inventory journal in Pervasive Version 13 Client Server environment.

The issue is known and has been logged as PPA-1186 for investigation.

The error occurs when one user is processing inventory journal normal batch or interstore transfer batch and another users tries to manufacture or update inventory journal.

WORKAROUND:

  • Install Pervasive Version 10 Client Server
  • Ask other users to close Pastel so the user with error can update.

Please note that the only scenario we can recreate is the one when manufacturing or updating inventory journal. 

If you get the same issue but users are doing anything else other than manufacturing or updating inventory journal and you can recreate in different scenario, please send our Support Team the steps on how to recreate on [email protected] so we can assist further.

    Have a client on V19.3.5 Partner, CS Pervasive V10, they are getting the same issue while updating different documents, from invoices to supplier invoices to credit notes. It seems to happen randomly, I cannot pin point the root cause. 

    Any new news on this issue? Any other work arounds?

    If it happens randomly it will be difficult to recreate and and see what could be causing it. I suggest you try to update to V19.4.2 and monitor. Otherwise you can get hold of the support teams to help you investigate further.
