Can production tracking be reversed?

Hi,

I am having issues when it comes to Production Tracking and WO Closing. Here are the issues:

1. One of the materials in my BOM was discontinued but production already tracked all materials. Since it is discontinued, there was no stock of that material; therefore, is shows "Pending" under the components tab when closing. I manually tracked the right material and hoping to get it closed, it does not let me. Sage pops up an error saying "one or more materials have not been consumed". How do I proceed with this issue? 

- Can I reverse the tracking? How do deselect that material from being consumed in the WO closure site? I tried to "Do not track" the material in the Production Tracking site but did not do anything. I am assuming it was because it was already tracked, but with 0 in stock?

2. Why does Sage let me track Production, Operation, and Components when one of the components is short or out of stock? Shouldn't it stop me from tracking when one or more components are short? That basically mean I did not make the products I said I did.

Would appreciate the help. Thanks is advance.

    Hi Emanuel,

    You have 3 questions : 

    1. How do I proceed to close a WO when one material has the status "Pending"
    2. Can production tracking be reversed?
    3. How to block a WO when a component is short?

    1. You can exclude the line (right-click on the line of the component on the WO) OR modify the quantity to zero. Or you can do tracking with zero quantity and close the component.
    2. You can use the reintegration plan function (FUNBENCHR) or delete the line of your production tracking (right-click on the line of the component and modify quantity and put zero, the system will say the line will be deleted).
    3. This a setup on the product-site for your RAW in the manufacturing tab, you can pick "Release if shortage". If you want every RAW shortage block your WO tranking or printing, you have to pick this option on all your RAW product site records.

    #1 - Not sure about your system setup - but our setup allows us to close the WO when an item has not been tracked.  I think we have to select the "complete" button at the top of the close screen first.

    #2 - This may be a system setup again.  But we cannot track an item if it is not in stock
