I noticed that when I was testing our Purchase Requests.  I used the some product code (Part #) and used a different description on each line.  Then when I generated the Order, the lines did not combine into one line.

That's the exact outcome we're looking for.  Do you think there's some setting that you have that this different then ours?

I didn't change any settings.  The first time I used multiple lines on the PR, it not only merged them into one line on the PO but it also cleared out the prices that I had put into the PR.  So the PO was for $0.  All I did was test it using different descriptions and it worked.  What version of X3 are you using?

V11, I think patch 9

What's the field name for your description field?  We may have customized ours so that even though it say description maybe the field behind it is different 

We are using V9.  Do the lines have different quantities and Prices?

The field name is Description.  It pulls from the Description 1 field of the Product, but we overwrite the generic description.

No sorry we never did and as a  result haven’t used PRs as much as I had hoped. We just create POS. 

If you find a solution I‘d love to hear it. 

I think you have an entry point in the purchasing module to handle this behaviour. Some development needed.
