Sage Timeslips Premium 2021 - Creating flat fee invoice then a discount

Initially, we were keeping up with time on an hourly basis.  Now it is time to create an invoice and the attorney wants to set all of time at a flat fee, and at the same time show a discount off of the flat fee as a professional courtesy discount.  Can both of these be accomplished together?

There could be multiple ways to accomplish this, Andrea, depending on your needs and what 'looks good' to you.

Using a Billing Arrangement on the client would be the least amount of work.  You can setup a "Absolute Flat Fee" arrangement and specify the dollar value you want to charge the bill at, and the create a credit in Accounts Receivable for the discount.  The advantage of this is that the slips would not have to be changed individually.

You could alter the slips to a Flat Rate per slip as you indicated, and let them add up to the total required and then enter in an Adjust Total Charges billing arrangement with the discounted amount.

These are just two examples.  If you're comfortable with these options, go for it.  If you need further help, feel free to hit our support team up using Live Chat (or http://SageTimeslips/com/Pegg) and type in HUMAN and get some help.

Thank you.  I was having difficulty trying to complete both tasks together - I had created the flat fee, but didn't know how to create the discount and I kept going to arrangements and entering a negative amount, but it would just override my flat fee.  Thank you for sharing the credit.  I had been looking at this for way too long, and I figured it was something right under my nose.
