Prebills client list only shows old clients.

SUGGESTED

After last month's statements were run, the list of current clients in the billing section was lost. It seems that somehow it's reverted to an old list. How do I get it to show only current clients? All the Accounts receivable, time and expense, and funds entries are current and accurate. These current clients' entries are not in the client lists in billing.

Your post is a bit cryptic, but it sounds like your Prebill Worksheet report definition might have had some saved selections in it?

Now those selections have changed? Not sure where an "old list" would have come from, possibly a saved filter.

Bigger question to me would be how do you know which clients are "current" vs "old?"

Sounds like you are trying to ignore some data in your database by selecting only the current clients.  Better to deal with the old data, and be able to run the Prebills wide open so you see everything and nothing is artificially suppressed.

If you have a way of identifying current clients - such as a custom field, then we can use that to filter. Or if you have some sort of saved filter of the current clients, you could retrieve it.  But my guess is that was just a saved hand picked list and it has been replaced somehow, so you will have to build it again by hand.

    Sorry not more optimistic.

I am having the same problem.  None of my current clients are listed so I can prepare my bills.

    Perhaps this will help.

It is not necessarily necessary to select clients at all. If you do not filter, you will get everything available.

The only reason to filter is to see LESS than everything.

I don't want to do bills for every client.  I have over 150 clients.  I only need to pick two.  Is there anyway to reset the client list?

I'm having the same issue, my time and expense slip list shows many entries from clients and timekeeper "TK" that will not show on the pre-bill worksheet. For example, one TK has completed slips in between 8/16 and 8/31/2021, the prebill does not show all the clients the TK has completed slips for and therefore not showing in the pre-bill worksheet.

My settings to run the pre-bill worksheet only include slip transaction date filter, not excluding anyone.

Yes, double-click on the filtered lists of clients (the ones on the right side that have already been chosen). That will open the list of clients with some of them checked.  Then RIGHT-click on the list of clients, and choose None. All the checks will go away and then you can check the TWO that you want and continue with your prebills.

Not sure with that one. If the ONLY filter is Slip Transaction Date, then you should see them.

That one might require a remote desktop session so I could put some eyes on it and see what is up. That would be a billable event for me.

If you think that would help, shoot me and email and we can discuss it.

Hi Nancy, that's great! But I would be required to utilize a case first out of our subscription. I have one last question about this if you don't mind. Is there a customer status that would prevent any slips from showing? i.e. proof or revision status (if I asked that correctly)?

, I don't work for Sage. I am a third-party independent consultant, so you would pay me by the hour, and it would have no effect whatsoever on your subscription.

Secondly, as to status, yes, Proof Stage will prevent a Prebill and also a Generate Bill. You will need to Clear them from Proof Stage first if you needed to make edits after you printed the first ones.
