How to Import part of a previous database into Timeslips 2020?

SOLVED

Need to import a Timeslips 2007 database into newly installed Timeslips 2020. Do not need much of the old data, but do need last several years of data. Is there a way to export the 2007 data and edit it before importing it to 2020?

Really depends what data you want.

I'm going to suggest something you may not have thought of.  Try to open the v2007 database in v2020.  That will trigger a conversion of the entire database into a v2020 database, then PURGE any old data you don't need. You'll be left with all the data that the old database had for the records you care about.

If you want to export/Import, you will have to have a working copy of v2007, export the slips/clients that you want to a CSV file, and then import the Clients and slips into v2020.

You cannot export an entire database, only elements of the database, and then the import will only bring in: slips, client records, Timekeepers, Activities, References and Categories.  For the VAST majority of folks, that pretty much means slips and clients as records worth importing. So, no history, no bill images, no payments via export/import.
