How do I eliminate the "Transfer to funds" and "Transfer from funds" that appeared on the statement?

SOLVED

How do I eliminate the "Transfer to funds" and "Transfer from funds" that appeared on the statement?  This also I believe creates "Client funds transactions" details at the bottom of the statement that should not be there and I need to learn how to eliminate it?  Thank you!

    Really not enough information to respond with a solution here.  

    Why don't you think they should appear?

    Transfers to/from funds are transfers to the law firm trust/retainer account.  Do you take retainers? Have a trust account? Did $$ in fact move into and out of the client's account?

    Are you actually running Statements or Bills?  Timeslips does both. The VAST majority of users only run Bills.

    These are not word processing documents. Theses are accounting documents they have to balance, or tell an accurate story about how the balance got to where it is.

    Hello and thank you so much for your reply.  The transfer to/from as well as the client transactions history at the bottom appeared for clients where there was no trust fund so no monies were transferred.  That's the problem.  Please let me know if that is enough information as we have been unable to eliminate it.  Regards!  Donna

    If you go to the client information there is a tab for Client Funds. On each Client Funds account there is a choice for what should show on the bill. The choices are Dont show, Summary or Detail. If there is no balance and no activity that has been included on a prior bill then nothing should show regardless of the setting. You can change the matter to don't show. If the client doesn't have money in trust or doesn't have a trust account and the information is showing then I would want to take a look to figure it out as that is not normal program behavior.

    Hmm. Okay, let's dig a little deeper on that. I am going to add to @Caren2 's response regarding where to find this setting.  

    First of all, it is a a PER CLIENT setting.  So you will need to change it on EACH client, and likely will want to edit the default to keep it from happening to new clients as they get added. Depending on how you have your Timeslips set up, you 'might' be able to use an export to fix them all at once, but please do not try to export by yourself.

    My gut instinct (because I can't tell yet) is that the setting is set to SUMMARY.  IMHO, it should always be set to DETAIL.  Then, as says, if there are no funds, you won't see anything on the bill, but if there are funds, then you see each addition/subtraction/running balance.

    Not sure what you mean by Client Transaction history. If you are referring to payments then that would be in the bill layout where you would hide AR transactions.

    At the bottom of the bill, there is a section added called Client Transaction history.  Maybe if the Transfer in/our of funds is deleted then this will be deleted as well?  Thank you.

    Not sure, having a hard time theorizing what is going on though without being able to look at it. :-)

    Test with just one client and see.
