I have a Client Funds check that bounced. I can't find a way to reverse the payment. Do I need to made a withdrawal with a note?
We are not hooked up to an accounting system.

Thank you
Diane
Go to AR transactions (payments) - then choose reverse payment
Sorry you send client funds. You have to do a withdrawal from funds.
Yes - I had done the reversal on my first day there, which didn't work out so well! I figured out today why, and I did do the withdrawal with a note.
Unfortunately, the note doesn't show up on the invoice. The bounced check expense is clearly itemized but not the reversal. I believe the client funds balance is correct.
Will the note I wrote show up on any other report I can send with the bill, or can I just put a separate note/message on the invoice? Obviously still learning the nuances of this software!
Thanks
D1D, it 'should' show up on the bill IF the Funds - Style on Bill is set to Detail. Which IMHO, it should always be. However I can't remember if it is set that way by default, so you may want to check your database.
This is a per Client Funds Account setting, so open up that Client. Then Funds, find the correct account (you may see more than one) and double click to open the settings. And choose Detail for Style on Bill.

That was it! Thank you so much.
Cool. You probably want to set that as your new client default so that all of your Clients will show the details whenever you are using Client Funds, and you won't have to keep remembering to adjust the setting per client.
