Problems with display and report fields after upgrade to Timeslips 2017

I have updated last week (what a nightmare) from the old reliable Timeslips 2010 to Timeslips 2017.  Right off the bat, there are problems that I am searching for help on.

1) When I view various screens, sometimes the Timeslips fields are not displaying or only partially displaying.  For example, if I view a client's Funds screen from Transactions->Client Funds List->View by client the information in the Balance field does not display fully in the screen - it is shifted off to the right so that the cents are obscured.

Another example is

2) If I generate an onscreen report - e.g. Funds Account Listing - the funds balances on the far right hand side only show the 7th field (i.,e., for a fund amount of $2,500.00 it only displays the 2)

Since I am only a few days into a conversion, there are likely other problems as well....  it is one reason I don't upgrade once I get it running ...

Try this - close Timeslips. Right click on the Timeslips icon and click on Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Check the box "disable display scaling on high DPI settings. Click Apply and close. Now use that icon to start Timeslips and see if the problem is fixed.

That helped with some of the display problems. However, I also had to change the entire computer's resolution and reduce the display's settings from 125% to 100%.

With the issues on the reports, I had to just click on different options until I found one that resized the fonts on the reports to "make it fit"

It seems to me that all of these worked in 2010 version but somehow managed to get "unfixed" in the 2017 version

The usual culprit for this type of problem is that users get a new workstation with a spiffy new monitor. New monitors prefer to display in their highest possible DPI resolutions, which makes everything small. So users compensate by using the percentage adjustments instead of just lowering their DPI. In other words, they use two settings: High DPI (which makes things small) and percentage (to make things bigger) instead of ONLY using a lower DPI to control the size and leaving the percentage at 100%.

Timeslips definitely seems to work best when we can leave the percentage at 100%. But that is not a new phenomena. It's been occurring for a while, so not really anything specific to v2017.
