How to undo consolidated billing in TS 2011?

SUGGESTED

The menu options shown in other forum posts and answers don't appear in TS 2011 (yes, we are going to upgrade to TS 2020). Thank you - newbie, desperate for help here.YES I have already searched the forums for answers.

The only way to undo a bill is to go to Bills > Post or Undo Bills. If the matter is listed you can undo, if it is not listed, you can't. If it was a consolidated matter you may have to find the master and choose to undo that.

I don't want to undo a bill. I do not want to generate a bill (or even a prebill worksheet) that includes all of a client's matters. I want to generate a  bill for only one of a client's multiple matters. I do not know how to reset "consolidated billings" for this client from "Yes" to "NO." I have not generated the bill yet. I have prepared a prebill worksheet which produced worksheets for all of this client's matters, with the "Consolidated billings? YES" showing on the prebill worksheet. I have researched the user manual without finding an answer. I have searched the forum for this specific question but am unable to locate the answer. Thank you for further guidance.

Sorry I misunderstood. If you just choose a single matter it will just generate for that one matter. The consolidation page comes from the bill layout - options.

I appreciate the response but in trying to generate a prebill worksheet I choose the single matter I want to use but the prebill worksheet generates ALL of this client's matters. You indicate the "consolidation page comes from the bill layout options. There are no options in the bill layout tab which refers to consolidation. This is a really old version of Timeslips - from 2011. If you could please direct me to where I would find the "bill layout options" in this version of Timeslips. Thanks in advance for this specific information on how to turn off "consolidated billing" for a particular client.

I don't have 2011 so I can't tell for certain. If one of the matters in the group is indicated as the Master, turn that off. Beyond that I would need to look at it with you.

From the Bill perspective go to the layout and click on Section - Configure Layout Sections. It is toward the bottom. I don't think this impacts Pre-bill worksheets if you are using those. This is a screenshot from Timeslips Premium.

I'm sorry but there exists no "Section - Configure Layout Sections" in any of the generate bill options in this version of Timeslips. There is a Design tab when displaying a pre-bill worksheet in "Print Preview." In this version of Timeslips there is only the option of headers and footers and margins. No "Configure Layout Sections" menu options can be located. If there is any way anywhere in Timeslips 2011 to STOP the "consolidating bills" setup would someone be able to describe exactly where that option could be found in this version of the software?

I don't have easy access to v2011 so I would need to do a remote session to provide assistance. You can reach out to me directly to discuss options. Maybe someone else has the information.

    From the topmost  menus, choose:

    Bills

    Then Bill and Statement Layouts

Open the bill layout you have assigned to this client.

On the Design tab for that layout, click on Section, then Configure Layout Sections.

That should get you the screen shot that  is referencing. From there you can UNcheck the option to have Projects included on a consolidated bill.

Also, a gentle reminder that this is a free online forum where users and Certified Consultants such as @Caren2 and myself can come to discuss questions about Timeslips.  You are using a nine year old unsupported version of Timeslips. You thus have fewer support options available to you.  @Caren2 and I provide short answers here as a courtesy, and example of the kind of services we provide. We are not employed by Sage, and are not compensated for responding.

As an FYI, version 2020 is only available from Consultants and only available for purchase until 9/30/2020 (or 19 days from now.) If you need assistance with your purchase, @Caren2 or I would be happy to assist you with that.
