Exclude credit balances from bill run

How do I exclude credit balances from a bill run?  I have unchecked "show bills with balances but no activity" but am still seeing bills with credits.

    Which version of Timeslips? Are these credit A/R balances? or Client Funds balances? Do the credit balance bills that are printing also have no slips or payments of any kind (even Do Not Bill slips)?

    , finally had a chance to test in my v2012 this morning. 

    I created a new test account. Entered a $1.00 prepayment with no slips. If I run the bill with only that client selected and the option to "show bills with balances but no new activity" off, it prints. As it should. It has new activity - the payment.

    However, if I run that bill, and approve it, now the account only has a Previous Balance of -$1.00, and no new activity and it does NOT print as expected.

    Payments and other A/R transactions that have not yet been approved count as "new activity." Perhaps this is what is causing your credit balances to print?

    On a higher level, why wouldn't you want the credit balances to print? Shouldn't you be telling/reminding your clients that they have the credit balance? Do you need to issue a refund and send them back their overpayment? If you are just trying to have them not print to sweep them under the rug and ignore them, you are better off cleaning up the account to absorb the credit and zero it out, then approving that to keep it from printing.  Otherwise those credit balance "dust bunnies" are still  there under the rug being ignored. :-)
