Are you using the Split Billing Feature? Because that's pretty much exactly what it does. It is a great way to bill more than one client for the same entries (splits the rate, shows the same time to both), yet track separate A/R so that you don't have the problem above.

Yes, each parent will become a Client and can have their own financial arrangements such as interest.
