If Visual C++ 2015 didn't install properly, you can download it from Microsoft and install it manually

After having manually installed the needed version of C++ and retried the Sage installation, verify the install completes without issue.  If not, proceed to the next section.

Microsoft Visual C++ is already installed

1. Check to see if the version which failed to install is already installed in Programs and Features.
2. If it is, then the installation should continue normally after closing the 'Failed to install' prompt.

Thanks for your response, I tried installing manually but it's still not working though it shows the setup was successful 

Here is the empty file I get after proceeding with activate now  because it still did not install properly 

Any other suggestions, please.

Thanks for those details. Have you called in to 1-888-522-2722 for support? Students may receive support for installation issues only. Some other items to check include:

1. Can you launch the sample company without issue?
2. does rebooting solve the issue?
3. does a reinstall onto the local default C drive resolve the issue? Run the utility below, and then reinstall the Student Version of Sage 50 CA program. http://simplydownload.accpac.com/downloads/SimplyAccounting/students/StudentVerCleanUp.zip
