New Employee Search Box

When using advance search there is the ability in User Preferences/General Preferences/Default Employee Status Selection to choose which type of employees you wish to search as a default. Could these same type of preferences please be added to the new Employee Search Box that was added to the 2016 HRMS version along with the ability to choose to search by last name only (first name or id). (I.E: Currently when searching for an employee by the last name of Daniel all current and previous employees named Daniel show up.) Because of then having to sort through all the names that show up in the search box, rendering the new search box option inefficient. it is easier to just use the old method of search, even though it requires a two extra clicks to get to the employee find,
