Answers:

The answer to Question #1 is F7.

In payroll, F7 is similar to clicking the two green arrows/chevrons on the screen. For example, F7 or the two green arrows can be used in Timecards to populate the list of timecards, on the Employee Activity page (Activity and Checks tabs) to populate the list, and other areas in the payroll module where you see the green arrows.

The answer to Question #2 is F9.

If you don't like scrolling, F9 is the key for you.  Where ever there are a lot of data entry fields on the screen in Payroll, try the F9 key to see if it takes you into the data entry view.  It's great when entering direct deposit information or earning/deduction codes. Not only is there no more scrolling, at a glance you can see if any fields are missing or need to be changed. I use F9 when entering or modifying fields in the Timecard,  adding or changing earning/deduction information on Employee Payroll > Pay tab (click on earning deduction code then click F9), Employee Activity > Checks tab > Select a check and click F9, and more.  F9 is not limited to the areas I mentioned.  Have fun and let me know your favourite F9 spot.
