Electronic W-2 Consent & Aatrix Grid

Good morning, everyone.  I know it's not time to think about W-2s yet, but you know how time flies!

We would like to create an HRAction form where employees can opt in to receive their W-2s electronically (we use the Aatrix website).  I think we know how to create the HRAction form and a place the Y/N data in an optional field.  The last time I checked, this was not something that would automatically populate the W-2 grid when processing W-2s in Aatrix.  Has anyone heard that this may be happening or have any advice with how to move forward?  We're working to get this in place for the 2015 W-2 processing.

    Hello,

    You can import a csv file into Aatrix indicating whether employees wish to receiving an electronic W-2.

    1,  You will need to create a .csv file with the employee SSN and a value of 1 for yes or 0 for no for electronic filing.

    2. When you are in the Aatrix W-2 Setup wizard, "Do you have any employees who elected to only receive W-2 forms electronically? select Yes.  This will insert a column into the W2/1099 Preparer called Electronic Only.  

    3.  Right click the column heading Electronic Only and select Import CXV file.

    4.  Browse to the location of your csv file and open it.
