Sage HRMS US Payroll: Issues identified with Q2 Form 941 in Aatrix

Aatrix recently released an updated Form 941 for Q2 2021; however, we have identified a couple issues with the updated Form 941.

Due to the extension of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) detailed in the American Rescue Plan Act, the tax calculation of COVID-19 sick and family leave is different before and after April 1st, 2021. Aatrix requires customers to manually key in some fields to adjust for the tax calculation difference before and after April 1st. 

Product engineering team is working with Aatrix to address these issues, and we will post an update to this forum when Aatrix has released a fix. If you are a U.S. Payroll customer filing your Q2 Form 941 through Aatrix, please be sure to carefully review the form before submitting to the IRS. 

July 9, 2021 Update:

If you have Qualified Sick and Family wages before April 1st, 2021, 941 form for 2021 Q2 will require manual entries on the form and Worksheet(s). It may be best to consult your tax professional as editing these fields are prone to error and you may not see any difference.

 If you follow Sage KB Article to setup COVID Tax and Wages, please review Worksheet 3 Step 2 line 2n as this field maybe zero since we separate Retention Credit and Qualified Sick and Family Leave Wages.
