When I calculate depreciation the program closes before completion. Need help! I tried chat but it doesn't load

Hello Kate,

The first thing that leaps to mind is, did you select a printer on opening the program after the update installation?

Try opening the program then go to File, Print Setup and select a printer (even if you just click OK if the printer there is the one you want) and then try running any report under the Standard report menu.

If that works, then try running depreciation again.

Thank you for the response.  That did not work. It still crashes when I calc depreciation

But you were able to run a report?

If that's the case, try running depreciation, but not generating a report.

On the Depreciation dialog, under Run Options, uncheck the Sent to: Window box at the bottom then click OK. Does that process complete without crashing?

still no luck.  Apppreciate the ideas!  I will try anything.  

Does a Standard report open?

Yes.  I can run the report.  But when I calc depreciation the porgram closes.  I removed the check from the box and a smaller company it appears to have worked.  But for our main company it still crashed.

ok then, in the Control Panel, Region, is the Short Date mm/dd/yyyy?

Where would I find that? 

Type "control panel" in the search by the start button

Oh that control panel!  Ha!  Ok I changed it to that format and rebooted and still crashes upon calc.
