Hi,
Is this database automatically created during installation as we do not see any reference to it on the installation diagram.
Thanks.

Hello Agustin,
The CIPSYS is the default name for the system databases for the Planning module which is created on the initial connection to the SQL server through the Database Utility for Planning. Even if you are not using Planning module, in order to install a client, the Database Utility for Planning does need to be opened and connected to the SQL server at least once or you get the message Error: "The Sage Fixed Assets - Premier installation cannot be completed until the Premier Depreciation & Tracking and Premier Planning Database Utilities have been launched at least once. Please contact your system administrator." (21765) there is a manual workaround in the article linked with which, no, you do not need to keep that CIPSYS.

Many thanks Delray.
One more question, do you happen to know if FASCIP is a system db ? We have 2018 version and there is no database under that name, now that we are doing preparations to migrate to 2023 we realize this schema was created.
Hello Augustin,
Even though I am not Delray I certainly can help answer your immediate question. The FASCIP is an application database that hold data for the Sage Fixed Assets Planning software such as items listed part of the planning project and transactions made (expenditures for the project) and information to turn this into Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation assets.
The CIPSYS is the name of the system db. If not using the default name I could not say without looking into it to determine if it is a system database or not.
I will pass along your many thanks to Delray.
Many thanks Lovisa. So in SAGE Fixed Assets version 2018 that DB was not included ? Or if we do not have it is because we are not using Planning ?
My pleasure. The most logical reason for this database not being included is that you may not use the Sage Fixed Assets Planning software.
