Saving a Report to Favorites in PU9

SOLVED

We are currently going through the upgrade process from X3V6 to PU9 and are looking at the different ways that we can make certain reports easier to access. In the past using V6 we were able to favorite Reports>Reports and simply change the "Variant" to the report name. This allowed us to click on the favorite and go directly to the report that we wished to view. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this same thing in PU9? It does not look like you have the capability to change where the report favorite is pointed to or customize bookmarks outside of just changing the name.

Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

We actually recently wrote a knowledgebase article on this topic, #57901. Our KB is under a short maintenance for the moment at the time I'm replying to this, so I placed a portion of that article here for your convenience:

    In Version 7 and later

We need to create a new menu item and then bookmark that new item.

    1. Go to Administration>AUTHORING>Menu Items
    2. Click Create menu item
    3. Enter a Code and a Title
    4. Select Function (classic) as the Link type
    5. Select the Application
    6. In the Function field enter AIMP~<ReportCode>, for example AIMP~TABCOUNTRY
    7. Click Save
Note: You can click on the Title of your menu item on the right to test the menu item
    8. You can now add this menu item to any available menu sub-module
    9. Click the star next to the menu item to bookmark the menu item.

For more detail on the possible function parameters, review the online help center.

    Hope this helps.

    Bob
