Audit log for session information

SUGGESTED

Hi,

Is there a way to keep an audit log for session information?

Specifically, like:

```
loginID | IP address | web server | browser
TONY | 109.90.177.50 | X3syraH1 | Chrome
```

I checked from the Sage X3 login audit table in SQL Server and it only refers back to the web server's hostname which was not enough information.

I checked this kb but it seems to only track changes in Administration module only and with user login ID only: https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=110380&sliceId=1

I know there's Engine trace but it will generate a lot of information and you need to open each file to read: support.na.sage.com/.../viewdocument.do

    Hi Chunheng,

    Thanks for your inquiry, unfortunately there isn't an out of the box audit trace to produce the detailed information you are requesting.

    You should however be able to work with your business partner and come up with a custom solution through SQL managers auditing capabilities.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    May I know how Sage X3 collect the syracuse session information from Sage X3 side for logging into the respective AUDIT activity code tables?

    Is there an online help page to identify what can be collected from the syracuse session for developers reference?

    Won't using the SQL Managers auditing would lead to looking at Sage X3's SQL user (like X3 or PROD user for example) in the web server's hostname and not the client's hostname and IP address?

    Hi Chunheng,

    I suggest creating a support case to assist in gathering some of this detail on what is sent from Syracuse, and your business partner for assistance in what detail can be audited from SQL. They can both provide assistance in investigating and advising the best way to gather the info you are after.
