Restrict\Prevent Users from selecting 'Default' page layout

Hi Guys,

X3 - V12 2022 R2

Currently the page authoring is quite powerful in that it allows a power user to hide/enable field on screens to suit their process and make it easier for users generally. Another useful technique is to hid sensitive information for certain uses for example easily hiding the cost fields in the Product Site record.

The issue is that whilst we can do this, link the new layout to a user/role, and also restrict users to not be allowed to make changes, there does not seem to be a way to prevent the user from switching from the assigned layout back to the default which exposes all fields.

Is there a way around this? The only other way is to use an access code at the screen/field level which is not really a user function....

Thanks in advance Slight smile

Thank you, however this only this helps to control if the user can create/edit the page layout, however the default page layout is still displayed. meaning that even if I unselect all options on the security profile, the Default Page is still available and the user can select this page.

Ideally if the default page could be assigned to specific users/roles (like normal pages) that would work...
