SUBSCS - Inter-site transfers - CWSIS

Hello

On V12 Patch 27 Sage introduced CWSIS webservice in order to respond to the new ADC options.

However, since it was done in order to work with ADC, Sage limited the use to just that.

We can't use the same service for other third party integrations, namely WMS systems on our client warehousing, or create our own Web Services using SCS object.

In my opinion this decision was purely commercial and not even considered client needs since many of them have their own systems and want to integrate them with Sage.

Anyone already tried it or managed to do it?

Best Regards

  • Ruben why don't you make use of the standard AOWSIMPORT service? You can import using any import template, and you will find that the standard SCS template will serve exactly the same purpose.

Hi, i know i can use SCS template for stock change but i don't think i can use it for inter-site transfers, at least in the past we couldn't do it. Have you used it for this purpose in your experience?

My apologies, the standard SCS template is defined for the stock change (SRTTYP = 3 and BETFCYCOD = 1) transactions only. My point was more about the ability to use the AOWSIMPORT service with an import template to create transactions. I have created many custom inter-site templates (SRTTYP = 3 and BETFCYCOD = 2), it is not incredibly complex but does require an understanding of Sage X3 development and "special import" templates. The CWSSIS is a standard object publication of object SCS, so I am not sure why you feel that it is designed in a way to limit other partners.
