Have you seen this KB already? Could be due to badges available

Error: "Access denied on pool XXXX" when running any web service action.

Resolution:

• Sage Support was not able to duplicate this issue.
• A reported case: The root cause was that the user assigned to the pool did not have any free badges.
• A reported case: The resolution was to remove the pool user from multiple security roles, leaving only one role/group assigned to the user.

I did see this KB, and that wasn't the issue.  We had to make some adjustments to the security for this user.

Could you detail the adjustments you made? I think I have the same problem.

When we encountered this, we were using an X3 user that had a dev badge for the web service calls.  We changed this to use a different use, which was one that didn't have a dev badge, since a dev badge was not required for the web service calls.  So if you are using an admin user, that may be the issue.
