Sage X3 online server security

Hello. 

I have a query about the security of puting my sage x3 online on AWS or GCP. 

Can ut be attacked or infected with a virus or malware or ransome ware. Has there every been attacks on online Sage servers recently. 

What is the best security preventive precautions that I should take.

    Financial data of your company is always important and have more threats then normal website. 

    Instead of Putting server online, use dedicated IP-Sec VPN connection via Cisco/Sophos/fortgate Firewall to AWS server. once your communication established, use SSL VPN for your client to access your server via your firewall.
