Where are blob files stored on the sql server? (Like the actually physical image)
Where is the actual location of the image on the sql server? I'm not looking for the encrypted code
for example, attachments are being stored in the ATT folder on the server. Which folder on the server is holding the images?
The image is read into the table CBLOB as binary data it is not encrypted. I have some tsql to convert back into a image if you want it.
so there isn't a location where the actual .png or jpeg is stored on the server?
Correct images are stored in CBLOB
Thanks. Do you by any change know if I can write 4GL that will pull the image on my computer and store the image onto the table?
You could use an Import template like this
Or in my case I used a script to load all the product images from a folder using TSQL
DId you run the TSQL process in sage?
No through SSMS, if automation is what you are looking for you could use a scheduled job to regularly poll a network folder, I use this for a couple integrations that pull in excel and csv files for reporting. I also do this for a few salesforce integrations with X3.
