I am trying to use the SCS object as a web service to do a stock status change. Has anybody had any luck with this? It accepts the XML with no errors, but it doesn't do the updates. I am trying to move stock from a status of "Q" to "A".

is your q products in quality control?
Yes
What version and patch?
Hi. I am facing the same issue. Do anyone have any solution for this. My version and patch are PU11 Patch 10.
I suggest you to use the SOAP web service AOWSIMPORT to import a file based on the standard import template SCS. Just look for "Import export SOAP web service" on the on-line help to know jow to do this.
Thanks Julien.. Your suggestion works for me.
Hi Julien,
Did something break after v12 ? Can't get webservice to process SCS template no matter how I code it. The same file (even hardcoded filename/location) of a working file import file works fine through UI, works fine via simple program that just calls IMPORTSIL but anytime it gets called via webservice it fails - even though other import templates work just fine! Any ideas ?
Hi Diego. I am not aware of a change explaining why the SCS import template is not working when called via the SOAP web service AOWSIMPORT. I suggest you to contact your partner / Sage support.
Please keep the community posted if you get the answer.
The issue ended up being a bug with SUBSCS script and for partial product pack units we had to introduce STOJOU-PCUSTUCOE field to SCS template for it to work.
Thank you so much for sharing the solution!
Diego, thank you for this. I added the PCUSTUCOE to the STOJOU, and mine also works.
I'm curious, did you do this with LOT controlled items? I just realized the ones I got this to work with are not LOT controlled. I am still having issues with lot controlled items.
Yes all lot controlled. What's the issue/error you are getting and is it still via the webservice ?
I copied the standard SCS import template, and named it YSCS. Them I added PCUSTUCOE to the STOJOU record on the import, as described above. Then I manually created a stock change, exported it, removed the VCRNUM, and imported it. I am getting the error below. I'm not sure why I'm not authorized to status A when I just manually entered one with status A.
I am not sure about the status error but I get that same error when I try to import values that are the same as currently is on sage (no changes) - try changing the destination location of the export file, then try importing again.
Denise, I assume you have 4 lines on the stock change? Are they just LOT managed or LOT and LOC managed? The message, "Unauthorized stock status", is generated during SAIMSK load of the stock working mask STOCHG from the STOJOU record. The error is generated in the stock library, it validates the input status against the stock management rules for the product. Normally the global variable GSCSAUZSST is loaded with the values from the TABSTORUL table, but its possible that its not on the import, so each line is failing, and it cannot complete the matching stock load.
