Why is the last record not loading in a Sage X3 function?

1 minute read time.

I was working with a Sage X3 user, and he was wondering why every time he opens a function such as sales, purchasing, or products, he must select a record from the left list instead of having the system loads his last record entry.

In Sage X3, there is a parameter called CHDERLUS that controls how the last record is loaded. This parameter is in Setup, General parameters, Parameter Values, Sup Supervisor, SEL (Lists and selections). If this parameter is changing at the folder or legislation level, it will affect all users that have access to Sage X3.

However, it can be set at the user level. In Setup, Users, Users, select the user from the left-list, click the Parameters tab, and look for Chapter Supervisor and Group SEL.

If parameter CHDERLUS “Load las red” is set to No, this will prevent the records from loading and the user must select a record from the left list in a function. If this parameter is set to Yes, the last record will load automatically when the user accesses a function.

Also, in the same “SEL” group, parameter “NBDERLUS” allows the user to specify the maximum number of lines in the “Last read lines” left list. By default, it is set to 10 but it can be changed to include more or less lines.
