Today we will look at a scenario where receiving an intersite purchase order (PO) partially using VXAPR and its limitations.

You can refer to my previous blog to check the intersite setup.

Item used here is a lot managed item with multiple lots.

Step 1: Generate an intersite PO and this will generate an intersite SO on the ship site.

Step 2: Generate the intersite delivery from the intersite sales order and validate it.

On the delivery the quantity is issued out from multiple lots.

Step 3: Generate a partial receipt against the intersite PO in ADCs, Stock, Receipts

You will receive the following error “Quantity problem”.

This is because in intersite context the lot number should be the same on the sales site and on the purchase site.

Currently in VXAPR we do not have the option to receive an intersite PO partially when the item is lot managed.

When the item is non-lot managed, we can receive it partially.

The only option is to use the standard functionality GESPTH purchase receipt function to receive it partially.

Now that we have introduced the Mobile automation lets quickly look at how that works for purchase receipts?

Step 1: When receiving an intersite PO with lot managed item we must match the lot numbers that were issued out on the ship site. i.e., the delivery.

Step 2: I have 5 different lots so when entering the receipt, I will enter/scan the PO, item, quantity, and the lot number used on the delivery.

Then use the “Add quantity” button to add the second line and continue until the last lot line to entered.

Once I've scanned all the lot lines use the "Create" button to generate the intersite receipt.

Once all the lot lines are in, "Close PO line" flag will be set to “Yes”.

Mobile automation is still evolving, and I will update this blog when there are any enhancements to intersite receipts with partial quantity.
