What’s new in version 21.1

Both Sage Estimating (SQL) and Sage Estimating Essential:

• Are now 64-bit solutions that can handle large databases and process large amounts of data efficiently.
• Describe units of labor in a gender-neutral way.
• Have improved integration with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Job Cost.
• Can import an exported Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate address book.

For details about these and other improvements that are included in this release, read the Sage Estimating (SQL) Release Notes or Sage Estimating Essential Release Notes.

Important:

  • If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage Estimating (SQL) or Sage Estimating Essential, check with the vendor of your third-party product to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. If you integrate with other Sage products, check with your business partner or Sage to ensure that these components are compatible.
  • Sage Estimating (SQL) and Sage Estimating Essential version 21.1 are compatible with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate version 21.1, which Sage plans to release in the summer of 2021. If you integrate Estimating with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate for Job Cost or Project Management, do not install Estimating version 21.1 until you install Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate version 21.1.
  • Sage Estimating 21.1 (SQL) and Sage Estimating Essential 21.1 are compatible with eTakeoff Bridge version 2.21.6.384 and eTakeoff Dimension version 7.0-10.
