Pervasive SQL VSS Writer error

We are getting periodic errors with our backup software, that may be caused by the "Pervasive.SQL" VSS Writer. What causes this error and is this a cause for concern?  Sage and Pervasive are contained within virtualized Hyper-V servers that Acronis backs up. Will our backup software (Acronis Backup and Recovery) still correctly back up the Pervasive files?

Please let me know if you need any more info. Thank you in advance.

As long as the Backups that are being made are made with no active users connected to the data files and the Acronis software makes full non-incremental backups it should be fine. The PSQL backend for the 300 CRE Accounting and Estimating software requires non-incremental full backups only. There is no way in the software to be able to restore a shadow copy of the data, or any restore point backups if they weren't made while all users are out of the software. There currently is not a way to automate the backups through the 300 CRE software.

The information in the article below is what we currently have to provide for what is required and recommended for backups. We cannot speak directly to the functionality of the Acronis software and don't make direct recommendations, rather we can only tell you what is required of our backups and then you will need to be sure that the backup option you are using covers the information below:
