w-2 history file

My W-2 history file seems to be missing.  I processed and printed my W-2's myself.  I have Aatrix filing the W-3.  I had to correct one W-2 and when I went to find the correct file to edit, it doesn't exist.  Will I have to reprocess all of the W-2's again in order to correct just one?

    Instructions come from Aatrix:
    TO ACCESS PREVIOUS FILINGS (W2 & 1099) FOR REVIEW, REPRINTING, MAKING CORRECTIONS OR PRINTING/EFILING ADDITIONAL FORMS: TO ACCESS YOUR PREVIOUS FILING HISTORY:

    W2
    1. Open TS-Main for the company that printed the W-2 forms
    2. PR - Tasks – Federal E-File & Reporting
    3. Saved Reports
    4. Choose the history report you would like to open
    5. Once you have selected a report and clicked “Edit” the History File Options dialog will appear and from here you can choose to reprint, correct, or file additional copies of your forms.

    1. Open TS-Main for the company that printed the 1099 forms
    2. AP – Tasks – Government E-File and Reports – Form 1099 (USA)
    3. Saved Reports
    4. Choose the history report you would like to open
    5. Once you have selected a report and clicked “Edit” the History File Options dialog will appear and from here you can choose to reprint, correct, or file additional copies of your forms.

    Thanks for the reply but I do know how to make the corrections, etc. but as I said the problem is that there is NO history file to open or edit. It is just gone.... Even Sage Support was a bit shocked. I can't even imagine where it could have gone. I am now thinking I am going to have to re-process W-2s in order to create a new history file unless someone else has any other ideas.

    You're welcome. A couple ideas...If you processed them from a different company folder, the files are in that different company folder. Maybe you can just file a W-2c by hand typing the correction?

    Hi LJS,

    When you launch Aatrix, it searches for a Histories folder in the AatrixForms folder of that company's data. Like Rhonda said, you may have the histories in a different company folder.

    You can also search your server for Histories folders, or restore a backup in a temporary location from when the saved forms were available.

    Yes, it did help. I think I found the file but I am afraid to restore it and mess up something else. Has anyone else had this problem? Looks like the file is located in my Timberline Data File under Data files. I'm going to look at it again tomorrow but I may have to call Aatrix and see if they can help.
