You might setup one or more custom fields in the AP Vendor Custom Fields section. With proper security access, from within AP, go to File > Company Settings > Custom Fields and choose "Vendor". Consult the "Help" files for more information on creation and use of Custom Fields.

There are Fields in Address Book already for tracking Minority vendors - look at vendor in AB and the very bottom of the screen. if those are not enough then I would follow Art's suggestion
