Users in Sage while moving/archiving files

Does anyone know if when moving files, should all other users be out of Sage? For example, we recently moved some of our payroll files from Current to History. During that time we had everyone stay out of Sage. In that situation would it be okay for the users to access other modules like Accounts Payable or Receivable?

DMS Eddy,

Your example above is correct. Once the process starts uses will not be able to access records anyway - the system will prevent it.

Thanks Bill! So we would just not be able to access the records being moved? Today we will be moving the Accounts Payable payments. Think it would be okay for users to still access Service Management and Accounts Receivable?

Yes that is correct. As long as you are not using the AP invoice functions in SM.
