3rd Party Procurement Software that integrates with Sage 300 CRE?

Does anyone have experience with any 3rd Party Procurement Software that integrates with Sage 300 CRE? We have test Sage's Procurement Module and found it lacking several key features that we need. We do not currently manage an inventory. Our purchases are project specific and range from small orders such as office supplies and other consumables to multi-million dollar purchases.

Thank you,

James

  • James - I am also interested in this! We have started using QMS a Qa-software program to do our major material ordering and tracking for our jobs. no direct integration but they wrote a program that puts the purchase order information in the order/format Timberline needs to import them. But QMS doesn't work for the Office/expendable items we order.

I am also interested. We order large quantities of material per project (Lumber especially) that we need to track. We are currently using an excel spreadsheet but would love something that would integrate with Sage.

Thank you JStiers, I am going to look at this solution and see how it works.

Currently we are using a 3rd Party Program called Power Purchase, www.materialmanagementinc.com/ . The Program is quite robust and handles our needs but is lacking some of the functionality I would like to see. The benefit here is that it does integrate with Sage 300 CRE using a link tool. Currently we only use the tool one direction from Sage to purchasing to import jobs, cost codes, extensions and vendors. We need the integration turned on going the opposite direction to push commitments from purchasing to sage. This is possible, we just don't use it.

I believe the Power Purchase is the most robust system I have seen that fully integrates with Sage 300 CRE but I definitely want to explore all of my options.

How long have you been using QMS? Is it robust? Does it offer good reports? Are the reports customizable for your users or are they built with Crystal Reports and require some knowledge to generate them?
