Create-a-check Sunsetting

SOLVED

Hello!  With AvidExchange sunsetting Create-a-check (no longer supporting) after 12.31.23, does anyone have an "in-house" check printing solution they could recommend?  We have reviewed "Print Boss", however, we print checks from over 30 different entities.  Many payments pay a single invoice with mutliple checks from different entities. With "Print Boss", my understanding is you would have to purchase pre-printed check stock.  This would not work for us, as we have remote workers who would be unable to keep changing check stock in our MICR printer for each entity.

AvidExchange is encouraging (selling) AvidPay as an E-pay solution (check, ACH or virtual card), but we still need an "in-house" check printing solution.

Can anyone recommend?

Thank you!

I am also interested.  We have multiple entities and do not want to use pre-printed check stock.  Thanks!

I don't think you have to have "preprinted" check stock with Print Boss.  https://www.printboss.com/printboss-software/printboss-for-sage

I think Bill Kormoski would be a good contact to help you:  Contact Information:   Phone (615) 351-4953 Email [email protected]

PrintBoss is a great solution.  You can use Blank check stock.  if you are interested let me know. We sell it and assist with installs. VERY easy to use

We are in the same situation. Long-time create-a-check (25 years) users who really don't want to mess with something that already works for us. We also have multiple bank accounts paying on the same invoices. I wish someone would buy create-a-check (hey Sage!) and keep it going as Avid doens't seem to be interested in helping out the little guys who still want/need to print physical checks! That being said, this is from some quick research on PrintBoss' website:

Print Checks from Sage Software to Blank Check Stock

Many of Sage’s accounting software users have not only discovered the ease and savings with PrintBoss, they also use blank check stock supplied by PrintBoss to print their checks from multiple accounts. It’s more secure, since unused check stock doesn’t have your company or preprinted banking information on it until you are ready to have the information on the check face.

In addition, you no longer have to order expensive checks from your bank or worry about keeping clear ledger control, as PrintBoss integrates with Sage to do this automatically. No more trying to keep your check numbers in order or using manual methods to stay organized. With PrintBoss and Sage together, accounting and check printing has never been easier. Take a look at our check stock product options and see what works for you!

    • Our contract with CAC goes to May, so we'll be looking into PrintBoss soon, as it seems like this will be the only option available aside from continuing with CAC without a service contract. Can I ask where you got the 12-31-23 end date? I was told ours wouldn't be supported once our contract came up for renewal. I even asked for an extension and was told NO.

Print Boss is like Create-a-Check. You do not need preprinted check stock. I use it myself and highly recommend it. 30 entities should not be a problem. You do have to purchase blank check stock but should be able to use your existing stock. I also use Print Boss to print my deposit slips for the bank.
