Open Job Cost, Select Tools, Import Direct Cost Entries, click HELP. The help system will show you what the file format needs to look like. 

Hello NIcole, I am looking for the same thing. I went to the help button and created a csv file and converted that to a txt file to import into JC. But my file keeps getting rejected and I don't know how to figure out why. Can anyone assist? 

cmp27 I believe there are two places you can look.  One would be the printout.  It should tell you where the error occurred.  The other would be the error file...that will show which entries didn't import.

If you can post your text file that you are importing, I can take a look at it and see if anything jumps out.  We import daily into JC, Payroll, AR daily.  So, it's possible once you get the hang of it.

I was able to find the printout and see the error. I was able to fix and now my import file works! Thank you so much.
