Office Connector Quick Aim Reference

Hi everyone!

I am not sure how many of you use Office Connector, but it appears they were bought out by Insight.   I continue to go in circles on the new webiste.   Does anyone havea  copy of the Office Connector Quick Aim reference that could be shared?

Thanks in Advance!

The guides are probably about 300 pages each.  Is there anything specific that you're looking for?

Hi Jennifer!  I believe it is a PDF called the Office Connector Quick Aim Reference and lists all fields in each of the Master Tables.  I am working on some ODBC reports and it would be helpful.

    Hi Hudson -

If there is a PDF version, I do not have it.  I only have the actual books.  If there was a certain section or table that you were looking for, I could scan it over to you.

Okay...I think JC-JOB, JC-Extra, and GL Account might get me what I am looking for.  I know it is a bit of a hunt and peck...I am trying to document some of this so the actual tables would be nice.

Hi Hudson - having some posting issues, so if this response comes up in duplicate please ignore.

There are actually 3 QuickAim Manuals - Core Apps, Construction and Property Management.   You used to be able to purchase these from Event1 and we always discussed them during the Basic ODBC classes at the National Conferences.  At the 2021 Las Vegas Conference, which was after Insight acquired Event1, we asked the Insight booth staff where they could be purchased going forward and were told they were now available for free as a PDF.  They provided us PDF copies which we distributed to the ODBC classes.  So I do have PDF copies of Ver 16.1 of the three manuals.  Not sure if they've been updated since then, however I doubt there would be any practical changes.   Shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you what I have.

As an alternative, you could also run a list of the tables using the Available Fields function in Report Designer.  One advantage of using that method is the table summaries will reflect any custom descriptions or custom fields used in your system, however they will not contain any of the supplemental info included in the QuickAim manuals.
