Is there a way to copy customized setting for each module to a new PC?

SOLVED

I 've set up a new PC and want to know if there is an easy way to copy my settings to my new PC?  By settings I mean all the reports, inquiries, and such for each module that are added through Tools/Customize/Toolbar for each module; PR, AP, AR, IA.....

I was able to copy my Sage Desktop settings from C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Sage\Common Desktop\Version 2.0\Configuration on the old machine to my new machine but the individual module settings did not transfer.  I also tried copying C:\Users\user\\AppData\Local\Sage_Inc\desktop.exe_.......\user.config but to no avail.

I've also noticed that the open company dialogue opens every time I open Desktop and I'm unable to manage the favorites tab so that may have something to do with it.  I'm also using my desktop as the server while a replacement server is being ordered and installed but I've also been using my desktop as the server for the last 2 months and didn't have any of these issues.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like there have been a number of changes since the last time this worked.

To start, your application customization is stored in your Register Editor @ Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Timberline.  If you can access your old computer, you can create a backup of this key and then restore it on your new computer.

In addition, you mention that you are using your computer as the server.  Did you migrate the server functions to your machine using Sage's Server Migration Tool?  This tool ensures the customization of your software (general, not specific to a user) is maintained.

Todd, Thank you SO MUCH!!!!  That was exactly what I was looking for and worked perfectly; I was probaly using the wrong search terms but I looked everywhere and couldn't find an answer for such a simple problem.

We've been using Sage(Timberline) since 5.4 so I was used to the old way but had no idea about this new trick.

As for the server, yes, I used the servermigrator followed by the datamigrator.  The only snag was reinstalling the clients and office connector not working with 64-bit Office but that was easiy fixed.  KB18234 was a big help except it left out the final step of using License Admin to deauthorize the old server but again, easy fix.

    Thanks again!
