Hello try. Thank you for asking. Sage recommends that you install the year-end release prior to printing your forms. 

do i have to? i know i did last year, not sure if there is anything new in relation to 1099's with this release.

Hi again try These are the version 20 Release Notes. If you go to the Accounts Payable section you'll see there are no mentions of changes to 1099s after version 20.3. I hope this helps you with your decision!
