Hi Dawn,
I would need to know what your current accrual formula is to determine how we can add in a cap. Can you email me at [email protected]. As far as how to adjust the accruals for the overage; you can make entries as negative hours to the accrual pay ID for the employees that have exceeded 48.
How can I limit the Sick Hrs Accrued? (72434) provides an example of how the formula can be set to limit the hours accrued. The formula example in this article prevents the balance from exceeding 48 units, but would not prevent it from accruing more than 48 hours a year.
Hi Dawn.
I'm not sure if I did this properly, but it seems to work fine for us. On the pay ID line (in Employee Setup - Pays) for the sick pay accrual, I set the limit to 48.0 and the Limit Period to Year to date on each employee. That has prevented the accrual from accumulating over the 48.0 hours.
As for your other question, you may need to contact Tech Support on adjusting that.
Hope it helps.
Ok. I did enter the negative hour entry but now it will not post and is hanging out there. Any suggestions to my next step
What does your printout give as the reason it didn't post?
